Upcoming Events within the RegPol2 project

In the framework of the Marie Curie ITN RegPol2, Geomedia employee and PhD student, Bianka Plüschke-Altof, will attend a number of events in order to advance her research and discuss the first research results with a broader public. Focusing on socio-spatial discourses, she will introduce the conceptual framework and discuss preliminary results of her PhD project at the German Geography Congress (Deutscher Kongress für Geographie) as well as at the 2nd RegPol2 School, which take place in October 2015 in Berlin and Leipzig. These will be followed by an intensive course in Micro-econometrics and statistical methods at the University of Leipzig in November, putting the emphasis on spatial planning and regional development. Finally, her 4-months secondment at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, starting in December 2015, will add a comparative notion to her project and offer the possibility for further exchange will international researchers.
