Conference „Far-sighted state“

Organized by the Estonian Ministry of Finance and the Johan Skytte Policy Research institute of the University of Tartu a conference under the title “Far-sighted state” took place on November 9-10, 2016 at the Estonian National Museum, which was directed to the middle management of Estonian public offices. The central topic was change management at the state, organizational and employee’s level. The need for change was discussed and the knowledge on suitable management solutions enlarged. Within the framework of the two-day program, plenary presentations, workshops, presentations in TEDx formats and votes took place. Geomedia consultant Rivo Noorkõiv held a plenary presentation on “Moving state institutions out of Tallinn – an emotional idea or a conscious state policy”.
