The forum for the future of Saare County

The forum of Saare County called “The wisdom of the sea or the thinking limited by the sea?” was held on May 31, 2012. The aim of this exchange of thoughts was to envision the future of the county. A consultant of Geomedia, Rivo Noorkõiv, made a presentation about the development of the population and the potential challenges it may pose on the future of the county. A discussion followed, where people from all different spheres of life were free to participate and propose the ideas on how to enhance the competitiveness of the county and to magnify the local values. Also, a discussion on the subject of “Saaremaa 2030” - the visionary plan for Saare County, proposed by the county's youth assembly, took place.
