Amalgamation related training cource

On the 22nd of March 2017, Geomedia consultant Rivo Noorkõiv and Cumulus Consulting consultant Mihkel Laan are conducting a training on “Preparing amalgamation in local government units”. The training’s objective is to assist local government units to successfully prepare before the upcoming municipality council elections in October 2017. The training will deal with important topics connected to local government amalgamation and provide tools and practical examples to elaborate them. The amalgamation contracts and agreements as well as their different content areas will be discussed, incl. the statutes and symbols, service provision, management structure and human resources policy, future planning and budgeting, regional cooperation and work implementation arrangements. The training will focus on practical matters and is meant for local government representatives and their future partners such as ministries, county governments, municipality unions and county-level development agencies.
