Discussion on the ESPON Program

On the 20^th of November 2014 a regional study seminar financed by the European territorial cooperation program ESPON took place in the Estonian Ministry of Interior. At the focus was the Estonian development in the European and Baltic Sea context. Priidu Ristkok from the Ministry of Interior introduced the Estonian ESPON 2013 and ESPON 2020 programs. The Baltic Sea country’s future development was discussed by Rivo Noorkõiv from Geomedia on the example of the BSR-TeMo project. A broad overview of the ESPON 2013 program main project’s results was provided by Antti Roose from the University of Tartu. The seminar’s participants were policy-makers from the central and local governments, public officials, academics and analysts from different institutions.
