The cooperation between local government units in East Saaremaa

On August 30, 2012 the common sitting of Laimjala, Muhu, Orissare and Pöide local government councils took place in Orissaare Gymnasium. Four possible cooperation development scenarios for East Saaremaa were discussed during the meeting. The event was moderated by Geomedia's consultant Rivo Noorkõiv, who also gave a talk on the topic of "Regional development and the cooperation of local government units: the consolidation of policies in East Saaremaa". During the presentation, an overview of Estonian development discussion was provided and the developments in Laimjala, Muhu, Orissare and Pöide rural municipalities were characterised together with their role in Saaremaa's context.
