German Geography Congress in Berlin

In the framework of the RegPol2 project, Geomedia employee and PhD candidate Bianka Plüschke-Altof participated in the 59th German Geography Congress, which took place in Berlin from October 01.-06. 2015. The congress was held under the motto “Stadt Land Schaf(f)t – Land Schaf(f)t Stadt“ and organized along eight guiding themes, ranging from rural-urban continuities and conflicts to epistemolo-gical questions. Working group sessions, key note and journal lectures, poster sessions as well as excursions offered the opportunity to discuss current topics and challenges in Geography. In the working group focusing on the role of socio-spatial discourses for the development of shrinking rural regions, Bianka Plüschke-Altof discussed the concept and preliminary results of her PhD project.
