Managing development processes in local governments

On 10.-11. December 2015 Geomedia consultant Rivo Noorkõiv conducted a 2-days training on “Strategic Management and Local Government Development Planning” for local government leaders. The seminar focused on holistically managing development processes, forming multi-level governance and on development documentation systems as leadership tool for local governments. On the example of practical cases concrete solutions to potentially occurring situations were discussed. Similarly, several topics were debated in the light of the local government reform. As the training took place in Viimsi, the participants also had the opportunity to get an overview of the development taking place in Viimsi municipality provided by local experts. The training is one of the modules which aim at fulfilling the objectives of the public tender “Local government leaders’ development program 2015-16” organized by Enterprise Estonia (EAS).
