Rural Parliament in Särevere

In the framework of the RegPol2 project, Geomedia employee Bianka Plüschke-Altof participated in the 11th Estonian Rural Parliament, which took place from August 7.-9. 2015 in Särevere, Järvamaa County. The event was organized by the Estonian Village Movement Kodukant under the title "Listen for Village Voices". It consisted of field trips, thematic discussions, a ‘living library’ with Members of the Estonian Parliament, and the award ceremony for the Village of the Year. As doctoral student, Bianka together with village activists and organizations, local and national representatives as well as an international delegation discussed the problems of and solutions for rural development.
